  • WHAT IS A KING COCONUT?

    King Coconut is a bright orange coloured coconut which is indigenous to the tropical island of Sri Lanka. It is superior in taste and nutritional content. Often referred to as “living pharmacy” and “fluid of life”, the king coconut is a pure, nature-designed drink, rich in vitamins, amino acids, minerals and naturally occurring sugars.

  • WHAT ARE ELECTROLYTES?

    Electrolytes are essentially minerals, such as sodium, potassium, chloride, calcium, magnesium, and phosphate, which are present in our living cells, blood, and sweat. We lose electrolytes when we sweat during a day out in the sun, when we exercise, or when we suffer from vomiting or diarrhea. King Coconut water is a powerful re-hydrant, as its natural electrolyte levels are almost identical to those found in the human body. Consuming this water prevents the body from cramping, dehydration and fatigue.

  • HOW IS FRUSCRIBE DIFFERENT FROM OFF THE SHELF COCONUT DRINKS?

    Unlike most packaged off-the-shelf drinks, our coconuts are 100% straight from the trees; without any heating, processing, adding of preservatives, flavours, colour, or packaging. We believe it’s best to consume this delicious, natural beverage as nature intended, without altering it with chemicals and preservatives!

  • WHY NOT BOTTLE THE KING COCONUT WATER?

    Plastic pollution is a global epidemic and considered one of three top concerns for our ocean’s health. So plastic bottling is an absolutely no-no for us. There are some eco-friendly alternatives like using paper packaging, but we prefer the best option, i.e. as nature intended. Sometimes you just can’t improve on the package Mother Nature designed. Besides, once the coconut is opened, coconut water begins to lose its nutrients and flavours. This is partly due to naturally occurring enzymes found in coconut water. Delivering the coconuts in its natural nut retains all the natural goodness. So no bottling or canning whatsoever for us, forever and ever!

  • DOES KING COCONUT WATER CONTAIN GLUTEN?

    No! The coconut water is gluten-free and therefore suitable for coeliacs and those avoiding gluten.

  • IS IT VEGAN-FRIENDLY?

    Yes, it most certainly is.

  • IS IT SAFE FOR CHILDREN TO CONSUME KING COCONUT WATER?

    Yes! King Coconut water contains anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, and anti-viral properties that help your child’s skin remain clean, clear and healthy. The water contains naturally occurring bioactive enzymes which help digestion and metabolism. King Coconut water acts as a diuretic, flushing out infections from the bladder and urinary tract. It helps prevent and remedy intestinal worms in children. The water is ideal for preventing dehydration and also prevents muscle cramps while remaining a great and natural energy boost.

  • IS KING COCONUT WATER SAFE FOR PREGNANT WOMEN?

    Yes! Coconut water is an excellent hydrating source of liquid for pregnant women. As it is packed full of electrolytes, minerals and vitamins, it is recommended for being a preventative measure for common issues such as exhaustion and constipation.

  • HOW MUCH KING COCONUT WATER CAN BE CONSUMED IN A DAY?

    Moderation is key! A balanced and varied intake of vitamin and nutrient sources throughout the day is essential. King coconut water is rich source of particular vitamins and minerals. Generally for adults, consuming 2-3 king coconuts per day is absolutely fine. It is important to note however that the recommended intake can vary for each individual based on their age, body type, health, and digestion. Consult a competent dietician or doctor to find out how much king coconut water you can consume. Also, best to consult to find out if you have any allergies.

  • HOW DO I OPEN THE KING COCONUT?

    Ah! The million dollar question. Many would suggest using a machete, or knife. We however don’t recommend those methods as they can be very dangerous to handle. Plus, hacking away at the coconut will create a lot of mess to clean up after. The other alternatives are using expensive opening tools. We have come up with the perfect solution by teaming up with a small scale, home industry to build us a food safe, drilling tool, which can be bought on our website. This tool is simple, has no additional attachments, and is very easy to use. With a screwdriver like twist motion, it pierces a hole into the King Coconuts within seconds, and voila! Delicious goodness awaits!

  • WHY BAMBOO STRAWS?

    Over-reliance on plastic is ruining our planet, especially our oceans. Plastic straws are for single use purpose and then disposed. It can’t be easily recycled. It does not biodegrade and never fully degrades. Bamboo straws are the best, eco-friendly alternative to plastic, paper, and steel or glass straws. It is natural, durable and robust. The straws are reusable, compostable, and biodegradable. It is fun, functional, and most importantly, earth friendly. Each straw is derived from a single stem of bamboo, unique in its own variance of color, thickness, texture, and diameter.

  • DO YOU USE CHEMICALS TO TREAT THE BAMBOO STRAWS?

    Our Bamboo Straws are completely vegan. 100% made up of pure bamboo material. It contains no chemicals, dyes or inks. The straw colour is the natural colour of the bamboo. We ensure premium quality as the straws are handmade with utmost care.

  • HOW DO WE CLEAN THE BAMBOO STRAWS?

    Each set purchased comes with a stainless steel cleaning brush. Just wash and rinse with the provided brush. Once washed, dry and keep aside.

  • HOW LONG CAN I USE THE BAMBOO STRAWS?

    Natural bamboo doesn’t have a shelf life. If you clean it regularly and keep it dry, you can use the straws for a long time.

  • CAN I USE THE BAMBOO STRAWS FOR HOT AND COLD BEVERAGES?

    Yes. The straws can be used for both, hot and cold beverages. This makes using bamboo straws even more efficient.
